How does the new tilt mechanism work?
February 2024 - Introduction of the New HAG Capisco Mechanism
The mechanism of the HAG Capisco chair recently underwent an update, designed to meet the latest EN 1335-A/2020 standards and to increase the comfort and flexibility for the user. The new design includes a small, intuitive lever that allows users to adjust the forward tilt of the seat from the previous -1.6° to a more pronounced -4.2°. This feature is intended to promote an even more ergonomic seating position, catering to the diverse needs of users.
The chair retains its classic functionality with an added adjustment feature: the forward tilt.
While the original HAG Capisco could be locked in almost a horizontal tilt, the updated version requires a slight backward tilt due to the internal mechanics of the new design.
This adjustment is in line with ergonomic best practices and generally does not affect the functional appeal of the chair.
For users who desire less movement of the seat, the new mechanism also offers the option to adjust the resistance of the chair's tilt with a conveniently placed knob under the seat.
